Since 2005, I have been active with the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, formerly known as SPEBSQSA (Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America). Throughout my time with the group, I have worked on the board of directors, sang in two quartets, and assisted with logistics and execution of two large conventions.

One of the staples of singing barbershop is performing Singing Valentines on Valentine's Day. There is rarely a dry eye in the venue after we have delivered a song of love.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with these folks and find them to be of good moral character and value. Since I sang that first chord, I was hooked on barbershop harmony and I feel it is safe to say that I will probably be singing for the rest of my life.
